My path to becoming a healer began when I was around eight years old. My family were visiting my grandparents, and I was very sick. As I fell asleep on the couch, my grandmother sat in a chair on the other side of the room. She held something in her hands and mumbled – too softly for me to make out the words.

As I slept on and off throughout the night, there she sat. Finally, when the sun rose, she got up and left.

Upon waking, I ran to ask my mother what my grandmother had been doing.

“Do you still feel sick?” she asked.

“No,” I answered slowly, realizing for the first time how much better I felt. “I don’t.”

My mother explained that my grandmother had taken my sickness – she’d healed me. In that moment, I knew this gift was in me as well. One day I too would be a healer.

As I have gained wisdom, knowledge and insight to the energies that connect the universe as one, I’ve come to realize that we are all made up of the same energy. We are all connected to the source, the divine.

Today I am a Usui Reiki Master and am fortunate to have been blessed with the healing art of energy work. On my path I have learned to trust and surrender my will over to my higher power and allow him to use me as a vessel for his will to be done. For it is he who heals through me. So, it is in total trust and surrender that I am able to freely help my clients. To be able to bring their bodies back into a natural state of balance.

I am honored to have been given this gift from Spirit, for it’s not me who does the healing, but Spirit, who works through me. For that I am extremely grateful and blessed.
